It's a Girl

Hailey finally arrived at 3:59am. She weighed 8lb 6.5oz and was 21 inches long. She is beautiful and looks more like her daddy than myself.
The birth story:
Sunday 1 am contractions started and became regular but never painful until 4:30 am. I woke up Rich and said lets go but he was confused by why I could talk during the contractions and suggested that we call. Of course the CNM said I better stay home until the contractions were unbearable. So all day Sunday I had regular contractions that were painful but not unbearable until around 5:30pm. We left to the hospital and got settled in our room around 6:30 and I was 90% effaced and dilated to a 5. I got my epidural and hour later and couldn't have been happier with the results. 4 hours later I was rechecked and was 90% effaced and dilated to a 6. They broke my water then and in one hour I progressed to 100% effaced and dialted to a 9. Within a couple of hours I started pushing and pushed for an hour. TA-DA. It was that easy. We can't wait to go home and couldn't be more pleased with our little girl.

In-between a contraction before leaving for the hospital.

My favorite person Dr. Lee the anesthesiologist. Notice I am smiling in this picture.

My first time holding her.

The first family picture.

More pic's to come when I am not so tired. :)

How cute are you and your new little family! I'm so glad all went well. Didn't you feel like babies are the most wonderful miracle as you held Hailey for the first time? Good luck with the recovery and into the journey of motherhood. You'll be great!!!!
